ars, coffee, and rock ‘n’ roll. Can you name a more American way to spend the Fourth of July? This year, we celebrated Independence Day with some red, white, and vroom, if you will. The Hudson Valley set the scene for the weekend, along the river in the beautiful rolling hills of New York. But first, coffee. Cars and coffee, that is.

Goodboybob® Hudson hosted us for a Driven By Community event to kick off the weekend. And we came prepared. We brought the new Scout® Traveler™ SUV and Terra™ truck concepts, as well as a handful of vintage Scout vehicles for all to experience and gather around.

The Traveler SUV was hard to miss in its new Spirit of ’26 livery; a bold red, white, and blue design created to honor America’s 250th anniversary. Nearby, the Terra truck stood in its Silo finish, giving attendees an up-close look at the two concepts.

Joining the new concepts were half a dozen vintage Scout trucks, including an original Patriot edition, thanks to John Glancy. And if you don’t know that story, here’s some history for you. It was an opportunity for the public to witness how we are honoring the legacy of our heritage vehicles, while showcasing the future of Scout Motors.

Seeing the vintage Scout trucks parked beside the new concepts made it all feel like a living timeline, with our past and future gathered in one place.

Folks attended from far and wide for the occasion. Some came to see the new Scout Traveler and Terra concepts for the first time. Some came to talk about the Scout vehicles they grew up with. And some just showed up because a row of cool cars were parked outside a coffee shop.

Attendees came through to get a closer look, ask questions, take photos, and spend time with the trucks and the team in person. The response was exactly what we hoped for: curiosity, excitement, and pride in the Scout name.

The weekend also marked the debut of our new Scout Supply Spirit of ’76 collection; a line of apparel and goods inspired by the original truck and its iconic livery.

But that was just the beginning of our iconic, freedom-filled weekend. Fully caffeinated, fueled up on car talk, and next up was rock ‘n’ roll.

The Fourth of July at Stateside Festival

The following day, to ring in the 250th, we rolled the Traveler and Terra concepts down the road to Kingston, New York, for the Rolling Stone Stateside Music Festival. Set at Hutton Brickyards, a historic riverside venue in the Hudson Valley, nothing felt more fitting for America’s 250th than an old brick factory, open sky, live music, and a pair of new Scout trucks on display.

At the festival, we also set up Field School—our interactive activation built around the hands-on spirit of the outdoors. Attendees could step inside, make outdoor-inspired crafts, have custom merch embroidered, and pick up pieces from the new Spirit of ’76 Scout Supply collection ahead of its public release. It was a small DIY-style break from the crowds and music, a place to make something, take something home, and spend a little more time with us.

And for the rest of the Fourth, the music played, crowds moved through, and more folks had the chance to experience the new trucks up close. By nightfall, fireworks capped off a Fourth of July weekend that felt like the perfect celebration of both America and Scout Motors’ legacy.

We honored our vintage trucks over coffee, looked toward the future over rock ’n’ roll, and brought a little bit of Scout spirit to America’s 250th.
