cout® vehicles have always been about more than just getting from point A to point B. They’re about the people who gather around them, the ones who put miles on them, and the memories made along the way.

For our latest community-driven event, we took a grassroots approach. Instead of a stage at a trade show, we hit the streets of Scottsdale, Arizona bringing the Scout Terra™ and Traveler™ concepts to a local Cars and Coffee event, sharing a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning with likeminded enthusiasts.

Fourtillfour® is the place for both automotive enthusiasts and coffee regulars in Scottsdale, serving coffee roasted in-house, alongside a parking lot that fills quickly with an eclectic mix of vehicles. On any given weekend morning, you can expect a crowd for both drinks and car-spotting.

And boy, the crowd didn’t disappoint. By sunrise, the block was packed. Vintage Scout vehicles lined the street bumper-to-bumper. A rolling archive of history brought out by the local Sonora Scout community. Dozens deep, sun-faded paint, and honest patina told stories before any words were exchanged over coffee.

Owners from across Arizona rolled in, bringing with them the spirit that helped build the Scout brand in the first place. The block filled quickly, largely with vintage Scout vehicles; early Scout 80™ and Scout II™ models, well-worn rigs, detailed restorations, and purpose-built desert machines.

Among them sat a familiar standout: the battle-proven Scout Race Terra wearing its Spirit of ’76 livery, flanked by Sean and Owen Barber of the Vintage Scout Race Program. They opened the doors for wide-eyed kids to climb in and shared stories aplenty from the desert.

Joining the heritage models were the Scout Terra and Traveler concepts. We also introduced the Scout Traveler SUV in a new satin white finish, dubbed “White Cap,” a clean, bright look with a subtle nod to ocean waves. One of several evolving design directions we’re exploring for the Traveler concept.

Beyond color, the Fourtillfour meet also marked the first public showing of several concept accessories, focused on capability. Afterall, we’re building these trucks to be used.

Up front and out back, concept modular off-road bumpers made their debut, purpose-built with replaceable end sections and real-world use in mind. A concept winch system up front, and rock sliders with integrated metal steps highlight the broader approach to capability.

Reservation holders also had the opportunity to meet the team face-to-face for the first time, asking questions, sharing feedback with the designers, and getting a closer look at the vehicles they’re in line for.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Cars and Coffee without the coffee. We leaned into the setting, offering complimentary drinks served in collectible cups, complete with sleeves featuring illustrations of the Scout Terra and Traveler concepts. By mid-morning, the coffee was nearly gone, along with the limited-edition Scout Motors merchandise we’d brought. Next time, we’ll pack more.

The turnout swelled to over 1,000 people, with caffeine-fueled energy holding steady from the early morning kickoff through midday.

We showed up with new vehicles, and the community showed up with history, passion, and curiosity.

It was a first for us: a true Cars and Coffee, grassroots and unfiltered. The event, not the coffee.

We look forward to seeing you at the next one.
