January 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

JANUARY 2026 - Blythewood, South Carolina

Welcome to our monthly progress update on the construction of the new Scout Motors Production Center.

In March 2023, we announced our plans to bring Scout® vehicles back to American roads—built at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Blythewood, South Carolina. Spanning more than 1,100 acres and located just 20 minutes northeast of Columbia, the site was thoughtfully chosen for its strong community, workforce, and infrastructure.

This $2 billion investment represents more than a factory—it’s a long-term commitment to the region, expected to create more than 4,000 permanent jobs. At full capacity, the Production Center will be capable of building up to 200,000 vehicles annually, or roughly 40 vehicles every hour.

We’re excited to take you along as this vision becomes reality and to share the latest progress as construction continues.

As shown above, our Production Center is anchored by key facilities including the body shop, paint shop, and final assembly buildings. The site also features a state-of-the-art training center for our employees and a dedicated supplier park.

The new Scout trucks are designed to be built on a newly developed, rugged, body-on-frame vehicle platform. At launch, we plan to intoduce offer two vehicles: the Traveler™, a full-size SUV, and the Terra™, a full-size pickup truck. Each truck will be offered available with either an extended-range series-hybrid Harvester™ option with a gasoline engine, targeting up to 500 miles of range 1, or a battery-electric model with an estimated 300-mile range 2 offering more than 500 miles, or a full battery electric model with more

We are now accepting $100, fully refundable reservations to hold your spot in line for the new Scout trucks.3 To learn more about each vehicle, you can click on the images below.

January 2026 Update

In the photo above you can see progress is moving quickly on the Supplier Park buildings.

Last September Scout Motors announced an additional investment of $300 million in South Carolina to build a Supplier Park on the site of its Production Center in Blythewood. This initiative, which does not come with any new government incentives, is expected to support approximately 1,000 additional supplier jobs and represents a critical expansion of the company’s existing investment of more than $2 billion in the state.

The Supplier Park will serve as a central logistics and production hub, supporting seamless delivery of parts, batteries, and accessories to Scout Motors’ main assembly operations. The size and scope of the park reflect Scout Motors’ strategy to build a fully integrated, domestic supply chain for its trucks and SUVs.

This close-up of the main assembly building (above) shows that crews have officially enclosed the building, and most work is happening inside, with HVAC equipment being installed and preparations underway for assembly line installation.

When completed, the assembly building will span nearly 1.3 million square feet.

(BELOW) Progress is moving quickly on the interior of the Assembly building with offices going in and continued progress on the conveyor systems.

In the Body Shop another milestone has been achieved with the first of more than 700 robots delivered. Our teams took a moment to capture this milestone (above) and then set to work to move the robot into its production position (below).

Below you can see progress being made on the Scout Motors interchange to Highway 77, which will help steer Scout Production Center traffic and deliveries directly to the factory, easing congestion at the Blythewood exit.

Progress also continues on the railroad connection bridge over Highway 77 in the background as teams continue grading around the property.
